Designing the City: Tools for the Non-designer
Are you a planner, project manager, site reviewer or a citizen planner interested in urban design who does not have a "design background"? Do you wonder what design elements create vibrant neighborhoods by ensuring the right mix of uses and people? Urban design is not just the realm of designers. A broader segment of the professional and public community can engage with the issues of neighborhood and community form and pattern. This course will review the design elements, frameworks and issues that need to be addressed in order to create quality communities and neighborhoods through a hands on workshop.
