Special Event: Green Codes 101

Jeremy Sigmon, LEEP AP BD+C from the USGBC will be present-ing information about model construct-ion codes, consen-sus standards and voluntary rating programs that drive "green" construction practices. Northern Section members interested in taking a more active role in leadership positions must contact Andy Durling (adurling at woodrodgers.com) and Southern Sections members must contact Polly Carolin (carolinp at cox.net) to be included on the election ballot.

The WPR Board is seeking nominations for the Western Planner of the Year, Sheldon D. Gerber Special Merit Award for Excellence in Environmental Planning and the Lester Award. All three awards will be presented during the 2011 Western Planner Four Corners APA Conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico. September 11-14, 2011. Nomination are due by June 15. Western Plan  ner APA - 4 Corners ConferenceWestern Planner, APA New Mexico, APA Colorado and APA Utah invite APA Nevada members to Santa Fe, NM, Sept 11th-14th 2011 for the 2011 Western Planner Conference. This year's theme is "Planning Makes a Difference," and will feature 36 panels led by professionals from western states. Registration is $250 until June 1 and additional details are available here.
